Caller ID is a way to view who is calling before answering the call and a way to show identification on outbound calls


Activate/Deactivate Outbound Caller ID

  • *85 – Deactivate outbound caller ID. Dial *85 and the system will say “anonymous call activated.” Any outbound call will display “unavailable” on the recipient’s caller ID.
  • *65 – Activate outbound caller ID. Dial *65 to turn on your caller ID. By default, your caller ID is turned on by Exodec.

Uses

  • Caller ID is useful when wanting to show customers the business telephone number
  • Turning off Caller ID is useful when wanting to hide the telephone number from the recipient of the phone call.
